Dr. Andrea Donaldson
She/Her
Dr. Andrea Donaldson shares her home with Callahan, her nearly 12-year-old dog who is completely deaf and has faced numerous medical challenges throughout her life. Despite it all, Callahan is the happiest dog ever, showering love on people—especially Andrea’s spouse—while preferring to keep her distance from other animals.
Dr. Donaldson graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 and completed a rotating internship before dedicating 12 years to emergency medicine. She has also worked as a general practitioner and part-time manager for a team of emergency veterinarians, gaining a wide range of experience. She values the unique and special bond between animals and their families and thrives in Kahu’s collaborative environment, where every patient is treated with the utmost care, regardless of their background or challenges.
In her spare time, Dr. Donaldson is working on starting a counseling service to support veterinary professionals in navigating the emotional, personal, and moral challenges of their careers. She believes in the importance of self-care to care for others. Outside of work, she enjoys running, weightlifting, reading, and playing games.
